When Summit Players Theatre does Shakespeare plays, we don't do them exactly how they were originally done. We change costumes, locations, music and casting, and we even cut words! This is because Shakespeare's plays are easily adapted - you can change a lot about them and they still remain relevant. In fact, adapting his plays can even make them more relevant to your audience!
